It is Jun Mitsuhashi.
I start 2013 Dakar rally in after about 1 hours.
I just leave the hotel and go to the starting block now.
I do not feel the pressure, because it is confident of my potential.
But…In the last Dakar rally, championship evaded even machine trouble, in the pharaoh rally and Dakar rally also.
Then…confidence disappeared my driving skill.
However, it was revealed that a car had a problem by the analysis. I was not bad!!!
Therefore I was able to regain my confidence!
Therefore present I do not have the hesitation.

いやー、これはペルーの人は大騒ぎだったでしょう。ボリビアの車ですか。大丈夫だったのでしょうけど。何て言うか、忙しくはないのでしょうけど、日本と違って何かと時間がかかる感じが南米だな～と思います。そこでうまく自分のやりたいことやペースを保たないといけない、っていうのも色々ある大変なことの一つかも知れないと思います。

ポディウム大きい！会場広い！さすがスケールが大きいですね。セグウェイでほこりまみれになっても歩くのが余りに大変だからやむなし、というところですか。日本ではほとんど見たことない実用に供されているセグウェイ、ちゃんと使われているんですね。

Report #01 “Dakar Rally 2013 Peru-Argentina-Chile”
“JUN Passed the car inspection. Lima, Peru”
January 3rd(Local time)Just before the start of “Dakar Rally 2013 Peru-Argentina-Chile”, JUN faced to the open car inspection at 9:00. JUN and his team lost their win last year but they took the first step again for the victory.
The team passed a paper exam without troubles then JUN had the car inspection with his crew. Team guys were excited to this year’s win however JUN was calm in contrast. He arrived Peru earlier than the team and got himself into good physical and mental condition. JUN looked like analyzed other teams in cool blood. Relaxed attitude is so good to the rally but keeping the concentration was little bit hard for him due to the start of the rally was changed from January 1st to 5th.
Drivers also got interviewed for media in the car inspection area, media people asked about JUN’s revenge. He is attention-getting person every year.
Well, the weight scale broken during the car inspection but 2 and half hours inspection was over. JUN and his car will stand at the start line finally.
JUN’s start is 10:30, January 5th (Local time), 16 days heated battle begins.
