It was going to cause serious trouble, away from the Production category.
But still I can not believe, but no choice and accept…..
However, the rally is not over yet. I go to finish!

Report #07 “Stage05 Arequipa > Arica”
January 09(Local date), TLC car #343 had the electric trouble in the stage 5 and the car could not start the engine and stopped on the course. JUN found and towed the #343 to the safe place first then separated the batteries and fixed to back the electric power supply. They tried to push-start and succeeded to start the engine.
#343 backed to the road but stopped on the way sometimes. JUN towed the car 5km again and the car could start the engine and run by herself later. JUN relieved to hear that because it takes 100km to the goal at that point. Besides towing on the feshfesh ground in the mountain is too hard to pull the car. They lost much of time but reached the goal safely.
After the race, JUN talked to Alain that they finished their first job as the support car. JUN thought he was over as the driver when he knew the news of the defection from the stock car category before the race start. Now JUN changed his mind and make TLC car #343 win the rally without question. JUN lost his victory this year but he will support the teammate as hard as he can.

SS: 172km
Overall standings: 50th

Report #06 “To everybody of JUN’s supporters”
January 9(Local date), Team Land Cruiser (TLC) announced officially.
TLC Car No.1(#341 Mitsuhashi/Guehennec) gave up continue the race in the stock car category of Dakar Rally 2013 due to the drive train had the serious problem.

The crew of TLC found the drive train trouble and the team decided JUN’s car #341 needs the changing the parts. JUN gave up the race in the stock car category. The car #341 switch the category to the modified car category and he continues the rally as the supporeter of TLC car No.2(#343).
Yesterday’s stage was so long and JUN arrived the bivouac at a late hour of the night and the mechanics maintained and fixed the car till the morning. The bad news brought to JUN when he woke up. The condition of the car was better than the last year till yesterday and it was a bolt from the blue for him. However JUN face to this situation and run till the end.
This is the painful announcement for the people who cheers and support JUN but please continue your kindly support for him and the team.

駆動系トラブルですか･･･残念だけど仕方ないとしか言えませんが･･･。そんなトラブルが発生していたなんて全然想像できませんでした。部品交換して市販車部門でも参戦継続はできなくなりましたが、こうなったら２号車のサポートをしつつ来年に向けて練習しちゃって下さい！改造車部門と較べても互角の走りが出来るんじゃないでしょうか。
2006年のパリダカを思い出してしまいました。

本人もブログに書いていたけど、もはや4輪部門に継続参戦している日本人は「三橋淳」しかいない！
今年は「チームの為に」となってしまったけど、こんな時だからこそ「継続は力なり」です。
きっちり完走して総合部門のリザルトを残してきて下さい

三橋淳が駆るTLCのランドクルーザー200での優勝を祝いたかったですが、三橋淳が壊れたわけではないので、安心しました。その地で大変だとは察しますが、これもレースなのでしょう。エンジニアの心中も察します。少し目線を先において、一年間準備してきたものを出し切ってください。引き続き応援します。
